Slow Cooker Mississippi Chicken is a simple 5 ingredient recipe that all you do is dump the ingredients into the slow cooker and let it cook. Come dinner time you have a tender chicken that is perfect for eating as the main dish alone or making Mississippi chicken sandwiches with.
Spray the slow cooker cooking pan with non stick spray or line with a slow cooker liner.
In the pot of the crockpot place the chicken.
Then pour the chicken broth on top of the chicken.
Next add the full jar of pepperoncini peppers and the juice.
Sprinkle dry ranch mix and the Au Jus gravy mix on top of the chicken.
Place the stick of butter on top of the chicken.
Place the slow cooker lid on the slow cooker and then turn the slow cooker to low cook temperature and cook for 8 hours. You can also cook this recipe on high for 3-4 hours if you need a shorter cooking time.
After the chicken is done cooking, use 2 forks to shred the chicken and mix with the sauce in the bottom of the slow cooker.
If you do not want to shred the chicken you can leave the chicken breasts whole.
