Heart-shaped Rice Krispie Treats are a simple and fun way to show your love on Valentine's Day or any day of the year. This recipe is easy to make with just a few ingredients that you probably already have on hand. These Valentine's Day Rice Krispies Treats will be a hit with the whole family!
Grease a baking dish or heart-shaped silicone mold with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
Add the marshmallows and the butter into a microwave safe bowl. Heat in the microwave for 2-3 minutes, checking every minute to make sure that they are not being overheated or cooked. Once the marshmallows are fully melted, stir the mixture.
Add the Rice Krispies cereal, vanilla extract, and ½ cup of Valentine's Day sprinkles to the marshmallow mixture. Gently mix until all ingredients are combined.
Next, press the mixture into the greased silicone heart-shaped molds and let them cool completely.
Once the Rice Krispie treats have set, remove the hearts from the silicone mold and place them on a cooling rack.
Place the white chocolate into a small microwave-safe bowl, and heat the chocolate for 1 minute at 50% power and stir. Reheat for 30 seconds at 50% power until chocolate is smooth.
Pour the melted chocolate into a piping bag, cut off the tip of the bag, and drizzle the chocolate over the hearts. Top each heart with some of the remaining sprinkles.
Let the chocolate harden, and then serve or store.
