This homemade garlic hummus recipe is a quick and easy recipe to make. Using canned chickpeas and a few other pantry ingredients you can made homemade hummus that tastes much better than anything prepackaged that you buy at the store. Perfect for snacks, dipping and spreading on wraps and sandwiches.

  • In a food processor or a blender, combine the chickpeas, minced garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, and a pinch of salt.
  • Blend the mixture until smooth. If the hummus is too thick, gradually add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water while the food processor is running until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning by adding more salt or lemon juice if needed.
  • Once the hummus reaches the desired consistency and taste, transfer it to a serving bowl.
  • Then, drizzle a little olive oil on top and sprinkle with paprika or chopped parsley for garnish.
