Dragon Fruit Lemonade

Dragon fruit lemonade is a lemonade recipe that is made with simple ingredients. Making an easy to make simple syrup, fresh lemons and fresh dragon fruit this homemade lemonade recipe is refreshing and perfect for summer.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water divided
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice about 4-5 lemons
  • 2 cup fresh dragonfruit diced and divided - 2 fresh dragonfruits

Instructions

  • Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a small saucepan or pot on the stove over medium heat.
  • Stir the water and sugar until the sugar has dissolved into the water. Once the sugar is fully dissolved, turn the stove off, remove the pot from the heat, and allow to cool.
  • While the simple sugar is cooling, juice the lemons into a bowl.
  • Peel and dice the dragon fruit. Then, place the chunks with 1 cup of water in a blender. Blend until your desired consistency is reached. You can leave bits and pieces of dragon fruit chunks in the mixture, or you can blend it all until it is fully mixed and smooth.
  • Once you have your desired consistency, add the remaining 4 cups of cold water, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice to a blender and briefly blend until combined.
  • If you have a smaller blender, you can mix the fruit and simple syrup in the blender and then pour the mixed fruit and the water into a pitcher and mix well to combine with a wooden spoon.
  • Once fully blended, pour the dragon fruit lemonade into a large pitcher. You can store it in the fridge or serve it right away.
  • To serve, add ice cubes into a glass and then pour the homemade dragon fruit lemonade into the glass and enjoy. Garnish with any remaining diced dragonfruit and lemon slices if you wish.
