Ingredients

  • 2 cups tiny pretzel twists
  • 4 ounces colored candy melts or chocolate
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon of coconut oil if needed for thinning candy melts
  • Optional: sprinkles for added detail

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  • Place the candy melts or chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 30 seconds, stirring well between each interval, until the candy melts are fully melted and smooth.
  • Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each pretzel one at a time into the melted candy or melted chocolate, making sure to coat it thoroughly. Gently shake off any excess candy and return it to the bowl.
  • Place the dipped pretzel on the prepared lined baking sheet once you have dipped it in chocolate. Add any desired decorations, like sprinkles before the candy coating or chocolate hardens.
  • Allow the dipped pretzels to sit at room temperature until the chocolate or candy coating is fully set. To speed up the process, you can place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 5-10 minutes.
  • Once the candy coating or chocolate, depending on what you are using, is hard, the pretzels are ready to be enjoyed. Store any leftovers in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
