Chocolate Crinkle Cookies Recipe

Chocolate crinkle cookies are a soft, chewy brownie-like cookie that has a hint of powdered sugar they are rolled in.

These chocolatey cookies have a rich chocolate flavor and are as fudgy as a chocolate brownie. They are crispy on the edges, and soft and fudgy on the inside and are the perfect chocolate cookie recipe.

Ingredients

Butter Sugar Eggs Cocoa Powder  Flour  Salt Baking Powder Powdered Sugar

In the bowl of a stand mixer or a large bowl if you are using a hand electric mixer, add the butter and sugar.

On medium speed beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes. Add in the eggs and mix.

Once the eggs are mixed in add the cocoa powder and mix until blended.

Add the rest of the dry ingredients; flour, salt, and baking powder to the mixing bowl and mix at low speed just until incorporated.

Scoop out a tablespoon of chocolate crinkle cookie dough using a cookie scoop and using your hands shape dough it into 1-inch balls.

Pour the powdered sugar onto a plate and roll the ball into the powdered sugar.

Roll each dough ball in the powdered sugar. Place on a cookie sheet. Repeat with all cookies.

Bake for 12-16 minutes, depending on your oven. Check them at the 12-minute mark to see if they are done.

Transfer the chocolate crinkle cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
