Wendy’s Frosty Copy Cat Recipe
I worked at Wendy’s (2 times, at 2 different Wendy’s to be exact) and one of my favorite things is the Wendy’s Frosty. My kids have always loved getting a Frosty as a treat from Wendy’s but loading the kids up and heading out is not something I always want to do. Thankfully I can make this easy Wendy’s Frosty Copy Cat recipe easily at home!
When working at Wendy’s I learned that Frosty is made with a chocolate milk mixture. That mixture comes in a bag and is then poured into the Frosty machine. The frosty machine is similar to a soft serve ice cream maker. However for this recipe you do not need to have an ice cream maker at home.
This is the best Wendy’s copy cat recipe you are going to find, I created it with the knowledge I have from working at Wendy’s in the past and knowing the process of making a Frosty.

Tips for Making this Recipe
The great thing about making a Frosty at home is that it is super easy! This recipe is pretty straight forward and not much to it but I do have a few tips so you get the best results.
Soften the Cool Whip. Leaving the cool whip out for a few minutes on the counter to be softer will help with blending it.
Use Paper Cups. When we make Frostys at home we like to use paper cups. You can use plastic or glass cups, but I find it easier to pour the Frosty mixture into paper cups and then place them in the freezer.
Freezer time. Depending on how you like to enjoy your Frosty you can freeze for longer or shorter periods of time. The longer you freeze it the more it will solidify.
Use a good blender and don’t under blend. Having a good blender at home will help you with much of your cooking needs. I personally love my Ninja blender. When you are blending be sure that all the ingredients are mixed well together.

Cool whip. You can use light or low fat versions to lessen the calories in this recipe if you want to. You can also use store brand whipped topping in this recipe.
Nesquik Chocolate powder. If you do not have Nesquick powder on hand then you can also use chocolate powder like Ovaltine.
Milk. You can use whatever milk you have on hand. I suggest using cows milk (1%, 2%, skim or full fat). I have not tried making this recipe with almond milk, coconut milk or any other type of milk.

Just made this last night it’s pretty tasty! I used the small size tub of cool whip and that worked. My husband enjoyed it too. Thanks for the recipe!
