Can I make a large batch?
You can! It is important that you just have equal parts of champagne (or whichever other option you are using) and Cranberry Juice Cocktail. Mix the liquids together in a large pitcher and then put the fruit in the glasses. Hold off pouring into glasses until ready to serve.
Tips and Tricks You Should Know for Making Cranberry
Prep. While you can prep the cranberries, orange slices, and glasses for the drink ahead of time, you do not want to make it until it is time. Because of the carbonation in the white grape juice, you want to make it one drink at a time when ready.
Make a sweeter cocktail. If the cranberry mimosa isn’t quite sweet enough for what you like, you can sweeten the drink with honey or a small amount of white sugar.
Add a splash of orange juice. If you want a hint of orange flavor, stronger than the orange slice adds a small splash of fresh orange juice.
Make a large batch. If you are having a party and you want to make them self serve, add the sugar to the rim, then the orange slice and cranberry in the glass and set the glasses on a table. In a large pitcher add the champagne and the cranberry juice and mix. Allow people to pour the mimosa into their own glasses for an easy way to serve the best cranberry mimosas for a crowd.
What is the best champagne for mimosas?
I don’t suggest going crazy on champagne since you are hiding most of the flavors under the fruit and orange juice. I like to stick with a cheaper sparkling wine over champagne when I am making them. If you are wanting to use a champagne stick with a dry one. Dry champagne is not sweet which is ok when making mimosas because you will get plenty of sweetness from the cranberry juice. I personally like to use Gran Campo Viejo when making this Christmas cocktail.
What type of glass do you use for Mimosas?
When making and serving mimosas you want to use champagne flutes.
