-In the second bowl add the cherry extract, with a mixer stir to mix in throughout the frosting.
-Next add the red gel food coloring into this frosting. Then mix well to blend the red color throughout this bowl of frosting.
-When ready scoop the black frosting into a side of a pastry bag with a large tip.
-Scoop the red frosting into the same pastry bag on another side of the bag.
-Twist the open end of the pastry bag to push the frosting to the tip to make sure that the colors have intertwined.
-Begin frosting the cupcake on the outside edge then work to the center of the cupcake.

These look amazing!! What frosting tip did you use and technique? Did you swirl the frosting all around or wiggle it upwards? I want to make these and a BB8 (white and orange) version for my daughter’s birthday this weekend.
