Tips for Making This Recipe
Melting the Chocolate. You can use a double boiler, (if you have never melted chocolate in a double boiler, check out how to melt chocolate in a double boiler). or you can melt it in the microwave by heating for 30 seconds then stirring and repeating until melted and smooth.
Use a large bowl. You want to be able to mix the cereal with the melted chocolate and the melted frosting well, so it is important to use a big bowl so you can easily coat everything and not have a huge mess.
How to Store Muddy Buddies
Store in an airtight container. You can store at room temperature for a few days, or you can store in the fridge for up to a week. If you want to freeze puppy chow, you can just store it in a freezer bag and place it in the freezer for up to 3 months. Remove from the freezer and allow to thaw before serving.
