Easy Meal Prep
You can easily make this lunch for a week and prep ahead of time. All you have to do is put all of the ingredients for Spinach Strawberry Salad, starting with the “wet” items first like the strawberries in to mason jars in layers.
Store salad in the fridge so you have them already prepped and can grab and go. Just keep the salad dressing separate until you are going to eat the salad.
Substitutions for this recipe
If you are not a fan of feta cheese then you can change that out for gorgonzola cheese. I personally just go with whatever is on sale or that I have on hand already when making with easy summer salad recipe.
If you are not a fan of spinach then you can change that out for crisp Romain lettuce or any of your favorite types of lettuce.

- baby spinach leaves
- fresh strawberries
- crumbled feta or gorgonzola cheese
- avocado
- sliced almonds – I prefer the roasted ones
- red onion
- candied Pecans
- Honey Poppy seed salad dressing
How to Make Spinach Strawberry Salad
The easiest way to make this refreshing Spinach Strawberry Avocado Pecan Salad with Honey Poppy Seed Salad Dressing is to prep ingredients and then make your salad.
Make your candied Pecans or you can use store bought
Make your Honey Poppy Seed Salad dressing and store in the fridge until needed.
Wash your strawberries and slice them into thin bite sized pieces.
Dice your avocados into bite sized pieces
Slice your red onion into thin slices
crumble your feta or gorgonzola cheese, whichever one you are using.
Rinse the baby spinach and put in to a large bowl.
After everything is prepped mix baby spinach, onion, almonds, avocados, and feta or gorgonzola cheese (which ever one you choose) in a bowl.
Once everything is mixed add strawberries and Pecan on top of salad.
Drizzle desired amount of dressing on top of salad and toss when you are ready to enjoy this amazing Spinach Strawberry Avocado Pecan Salad and Honey Poppy Seed Salad Dressing.

Strawberry Spinach Salad with Candied Pecans
Ingredients
- 6 oz baby spinach leaves
- 1½ cups sliced strawberries stems removed
- ¼ cup crumbled feta or gorgonzola cheese
- 1 avocado diced
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds toasted
- 1/2 small red onion thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup candied Pecans
Instructions
- First make your candied Pecan, you can use store bought if you want to or this easy Candied Pecans recipe.
- Make your Honey Poppy Seed Salad dressing and store in the fridge until needed.
- Wash your strawberries and slice them into thin bite sized pieces.
- Dice your avocados into bite sized pieces and slice your red onion thinly
- Rinse the baby spinach.
- After everything is prepped mix baby spinach, onion, almonds, avocados, and feta or gorgonzola cheese (which ever one you choose) in a bowl.
- Once mixed add strawberries and Pecan on top of salad.

I make this salad alot but with crumbled goat cheese (and mixed greens with the spinach) because I’m not a fan of feta. And I’ve used the bottled raspberry vinaigrette but I’ll have to try the poppy seed dressing!
