How to Put Elf on the Shelf in a Water Bottle

I am sure you have seen the Elf on the Shelf in a water bottle, but of course, you were unsure how he got in there! Well you are in luck! We have the step by step directions on how to get that hiding elf in the water bottle.

This elf on the shelf idea is super easy and the kids always get a kick out of it trying to figure out how the elf got himself (or herself) into the waterbottle!)

Supplies for your “Where’s the Elf?” Project: 

• Exacto knife
• scotch tape
• water bottle

Directions  for your “Where’s the Elf?” Project: 

Step 1: Carefully pull the label off the water bottle.

Step 2: Using your Exacto knife cut the water bottle where the label goes 3/4th the way around.

Step 3: Bend the top of the water bottle slightly and stick your Elf on the Shelf into the water bottle, then pull the top over your elf

Step 4: Using scotch tape, tape the cut area.

Step 5: Reseal the water bottle label, use just a tiny bit of glue on the edges to reglue the label back on the water bottle.

Tada! Your elf is stuck in a water bottle!
