Add Flavor. If you want to add flavor to the rice you can substitute chicken broth, beef broth or veggie broth in place of the water. You can also add spices and herbs to the rice before putting it in the oven to add more flavor.
Don’t Rinse the Rice. There is no need to rinse the rice before cooking it.
Let the rice rest. It is important to let the the rice rest for 5-10 minutes after you take it out of the oven.

- 1 1/2 cups brown rice
- 2 1/3 cups water
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How to Bake rice in the oven Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Spread rice in a 8 x 8 inch baking dish and sprinkle with salt.
Top the rice with the butter.
Bring water to boil in the microwave.
