These ghost handtowels are super cute and they make great decorations for Halloween that are also great keepsakes from when your kiddos were little.
When making handprint towels I highly suggest having a container of baby wipes at the table you were working out so you’re able to wipe off the paint from their little hands before they can get it all over your walls on the way to the bathroom to wash their hands.
How to Make Ghost Handprint towels
Ghost Handprint towels supplies
- Grey or black teatowel
- White and black fabric paint – This here is a great NonToxic Fabric paint
- Paper plate
- Foam paint brush – You can grab a 25 pack for around here
- Thin tip paint brush
How to Make Ghost Handprint towels
Take your paper plate and squirt the white paint on it.
With your foam brush paint your child’s hand with the white paint or you can let them stick their full hand into it. Depending on how old your kiddo is do which ever one works for you. Then press their hand on the towel. Do this for each ghost you want on the towel. We did 2 ghosts, but if your child has smaller hands you could fit 3 on the towel.
Take the thin paint brush and outline all the hand prints with the black paint. If you want to make the white brighter after tracing the handprint in black paint, use a small brush and add more paint to the ghost.
Then using black paint make 2 eyes and the ghost mouth.
If you want to add the date to the bottom of the towel, use the thin black paint brush to put the date on the bottom.
Allow the paint to completely dry before use.
Follow the directions on your fabric paint when washing your towels.
