Making Easter decorations with the kids is one of my favorite things to do. Making them, then we decorate the house with them each year and every year when we bring them out the kids always remember making them. It makes for a lot of fun going down memory lane while we are decorating.
Of course each year we add to our homemade decorations, so if you are looking for more DIY Easter decorations and fun to do with the kids check out some of our other Easter fun.
Tips for Making Homemade Wreaths
I love this fur yarn for making my Do It Yourself Easter Egg Wreath, it totally reminds me of grass! I was able to find at the craft store but I also found it on Amazon.
Keep the yarn wrapped in the ball while wrapping, this makes it much easier and you don’t end up with yarn all over the place.
Be sure to read up on a great way to hang a wreath from a door without any damage.
Use light weight eggs. You can use plastic Easter eggs or foam Easter eggs, but be sure they are light weight.
Cloth flowers. I like the look of cloth flowers but you can also use plastic ones.
Additional decorations. I used butterflies but you can also use little bunnies or chicks that you can find at the craft store.
