What is a Crudite Board?
When you are talking about platters and appetizer boards a Charcuterie board is focused on the meat and cheese and a Crudite Board is focused on the veggies. While many of us refer to them as veggie platters the technical name a Crudite Board.
The definition of a Crudite board is pieces of raw vegetables served as an hors d’oeuvre often with a dip. You can serve them with or with out a dip.
A veggie platter, veggie tray and Crudite Board are basically the same thing, if you want everyone to think you are fancy be sure to call this a Christmas Tree Crudite Board when you tell them what it is!

How to Make Christmas Tree Veggie Platter
Cut the broccoli into small florets, making sure not to leave the stem too long or it will have a hard time standing up. Cut the tops and bottoms off your peppers and remove the seeds, thinly slice the peppers.
On your serve platter arrange the broccoli in a long triangle to be the body of the tree. I found it easy to start with my largest florets to build the base then I started tucking the smaller piece to help build the shape.
Arrange the tomatoes all over the top of the broccoli to look like little lights.
Lay out four strips of the yellow pepper on the top of the tree for the star.
Place the strips of yellow pepper on the tree in a zig zag pattern to be the lights.
Lay the red pepper at the bottom to be the tree skirt.
Place the pretzels at the bottom of the tree to be the base of the tree.
