What does Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread taste like?
You might think that chocolate chip zucchini bread would taste like vegetables, but you won’t even know that the zucchini is there. The zucchini doesn’t add a lot of flavor to the bread but it adds a lot of moisture, making it the best tasting moist-est bread ever. There are many ways to add zucchini to breads, like Zucchini Carrot Muffins and Walnut Zucchini Bread. This bread is going to taste like chocolate chips and cinnamon in every bite.
Tips for Making Zucchini Chocolate Chip Bread
Bake long enough. I know having to wait for the bread to be done stinks because you want to enjoy it as soon as possible, but it will take 50-55 minutes at 350 depending on your oven to fully cook zucchini bread. It is important that the knife or toothpick comes out clean when you are checking to see if banana bread is fully cooked.
Line the baking pan or grease the pan. Line the pan with parchment paper to make it easy to pull out of the pan. When you are greasing the baking pan be sure you grease it well. I like to use non stick cooking spray as I am able to easily get in the corners of the baking pan.
Mix ingredients in order. It is important to mix the ingredients in the order that the recipe calls for. Baking this easy quick bread recipe is not hard but following the step by step directions for baking zucchini bread is going to give you the results you want.
Do NOT Over mix. Once the batter is mixed, fold in the blueberries and then pour the blueberry muffin bread mixture into the bread pan. Over mixing will cause the bread to be tough and bake unevenly.
How to Serve Zucchini Bread
Depending on my mood, sometimes I add just a little bit of butter on top of the bread, but most of the time I just cut a slice and enjoy it alone. It really doesn’t need anything extra to make it taste amazing, it is amazing as it is.
How to Store Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread
This bread is best if it is stored in an airtight container with waxed paper between the slices. If you live in a humid area, it’s not a good idea to keep this bread on your counter. Instead, you should store it in the fridge or freezer and let the slices sit out at room temperature for about 15 minutes before enjoying them. The problem with storing the bread in the refrigerator is that it tends to dry out sooner.
How long will Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread keep?
This bread will last about 1 week when stored correctly in an airtight container with waxed paper between the slices. It can be frozen to help it last longer.
Can You Freeze Zucchini Bread?
Yes, you can freeze zucchini bread and the great thing is that zucchini bread freezes well and it is easy to do.
There are a few different ways to go about freezing the bread. You can freeze the whole loaf or freeze it in slices.
- Free a whole loaf of quick bread. To freeze the whole loaf allow the bread to cool completely. Once cooled wrap the loaf in tin foil, then place in a freezer bag and squeeze the air out before putting it into the freezer. It will keep in the freezer for up to 4 months.
- Freeze quick bread in individual slices. If you prefer to freeze it in slices, allow the bread to cool completely. Slice the bread into slices and wrap each slice in tin foil. Then put the wrapped slices into a freezer bag and squeeze the air out before putting them into the freezer. It will keep in the freezer for up to 4 months.
When you’re ready to enjoy some of the frozen zucchini bread leave it out on your counter for about 15 minutes and you’ll have delicious zucchini bread that tastes as fresh as if you just baked it.
