I love Asian food. All of the spices and flavors that combine for amazing meals are my go to when we have takeout. However eating take out all the time would really kill our budget plus making chicken asparagus stir fry is much healthier if you make it homemade. This Asian chicken stir fry is a tasty recipe that is low carb, kid-friendly and a healthy chicken dinner recipe. It is a yummy healthy stir fry recipe I can eat at home without all the guilt that still has all the amazing asian flavors. This Chicken Asparagus Stir Fry was my solution. I will not claim this to be an authentic asian stir fry. However it has all the flavors that I love and the garlic ginger stir fry sauce mixed with juicy chicken and fresh asparagus while being totally delicious! The great thing about stir fry is it can pair well with many things. Serve this easy stir fry recipe over rice, cauliflower rice, and even mix it in with lomein! Or you can eat with alone. We tend to make a meal with this chicken and vegetable stir fry, asian cucumber salad and fried rice. Use a Wok. When you are cooking a stir fry the trick its to cook it at a very high temperature while stirring a lot. A wok really helps out with the cooking process, you can get one here for less than $30. Bite sized chicken. When you are cutting the chicken it is best to cut it into bitesized pieces. Not only will it cook faster but you don’t have to wait to enjoy it once you are done cooking. Fresh Asparagus. - Chicken breast
- Salt
- Chicken broth
- Soy sauce
- Cornstarch
- Water
- Canola or olive oil
- Asparagus
- Garlic
- Fresh ginger
- Lemon juice
- Black pepper
How to Make Chicken Asparagus Stir Fry
Cut the chicken into 1-inch cubes and season the chicken with salt. In a small bowl, combine chicken broth and soy sauce. In a second small bowl combine the cornstarch and water and mix well to combine.
Heat a large non-stick wok over medium-high heat, when hot add 1 teaspoon of the oil. Add the asparagus to the pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until crisp. Add the garlic and ginger and cook until golden, about 1 minute.
Place the asparagus on a plate and set it aside. Place your wok on high heat and add 1 teaspoon of oil. Once the oil is heated add the chicken and cook on each side for about 4 minutes until it’s browned.
Place the chicken on the plate with the asparagus and set aside.
Add the soy sauce mixture to the wok and bring to a boil for about 1 minute.
Add in the lemon juice and cornstarch mixture and stir well.
When it simmers add the chicken and asparagus to the wok and stir well.
Serve as desired.

Chicken Asparagus Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast
- Kosher salt to taste
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tbsp canola divided
- 1 pound asparagus ends trimmed, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- fresh black pepper to taste
Instructions
