White Cheddar Mac and Cheese with Cauliflower
I received the Ninja Cooking System recently and I am LOVING it. One of my friends has one and she is forever telling me about how easy it was to cook amazing meals in it. Her favorite part being that when she cooks a meal she can do everything in it that would normally require multiple dishes to be used.
If you do not have a ninja cooking system, I highly recommend getting one. However if you do not have one then you can still make this amazing white cheddar macaroni and cheese on the stove, just follow the steps below for cooking mac and cheese on the stove.
Easy White Cheddar Mac and Cheese

Cauliflower White Cheddar Mac and Cheese Ingredients
- 1 box uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 cauliflower head
- 6 cups water
- 2 cup milk
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup butter, cubed
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ¼ tsp garlic
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 16 oz shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
How to Make White Cheddar Mac and Cheese in the Ninja Cooker
Chop the cauliflower into small pieces.
Set the ninja to high on the stove setting. Add the water and bring it to a boil.
Place the macaroni and the cauliflower in the water and cook for 7 minutes.
Pour the pasta and cauliflower into a colander to drain.
Spray the pot with cooking spray.
Add the milk, sour cream, butter, onion powder, pepper, garlic and salt to the pot and cook until the butter is all melted.
Add in the cheese and cook until melted.
Pour the pasta back into the pan and Set the oven setting to 350°F for 20 minutes, checking after 15 minutes.
How to make White Cheddar Mac and Cheese on the stove
Preheat oven to 350°F
Cook pasta according to package. While the pasta is cooking chop the cauliflower and steam it in the microwave. You can use roasted cauliflower instead if you would like to.
Once the pasta is cooked, drain the pasta and add it back into your pot.
Add the milk, sour cream, butter, onion powder, pepper, garlic and salt to the pot and mix well over low heat until the butter is fully melted.
Add in the white cheddar cheese and mix until the cheese is melted.
