What to put on top of Bacon Cheddar Cauliflower Soup
I top my bacon cheddar soup with extra cheese and scallions. You can also top it with sour cream!
There are also times that I made extra bacon – let’s be 100% honest here there is NEVER too much bacon! Ever! So feel free to add as much or as little bacon to your cauliflower soup as you want to!
Can you freeze Cauliflower Soup?
You can freeze this Bacon Cheddar Cauliflower Soup! When freezing soup I use mason jars. I fill them leaving about 2 inches at the top to the soup has room to expand. You can also use freezer ziploc bags if you want to when freezing it. Just fill the bags and then lay them flat to freeze.
After cooking the Bacon Cheddar Cauliflower Soup and pureeing it, let it cool. Then put it into your containers for freezing. When you want to enjoy this soup after it has been frozen, just defrost the soup in the fridge the night before. Then pour into a pot and heat on the stove until it is warm. Then top with cheese, bacon and other toppings.
You can keep this soup frozen for up to 6 months.

I made this on the stove top, and when I got done frying the bacon bits I added the bacon grease back into the soup. It was amazing!

Is the nutrition info posted with fresh garlic or garlic powder? Thanks!
Stephanie says
fresh
Mandy says
Do you think it would work with cauliflower rice? The crumbly cauliflower?
Stephanie says
Then the measurements would be off so you would have to use less but its so simple just to quickly chop a head of cauliflower its worth it.
Meagan says
How would I change the process if I used frozen steamable florets?
Stephanie says
Honestly im not sure how that would come out in the crockpot.
CoopersMom says
Instead of cutting into pieces can you use food processor and make it into rice before cooking to cut cooking time ? Would that mess with the flavor ? Also.. Can you puree in a food processor ? I just got one so its foreign to me lol yt?.
Stephanie says
You can use the food processor for the chopping but you just have to roughly chop the cauliflower so its simpler to just use a cutting board. I havent used one for soup because mine will leak if there is too much liquid.
Colleen says
Can you use qla regular blender

Melanie Franz says
Do you add most of the cooked bacon into the crockpot with all the other ingredients and then save some for topping? I didn’t see when you add the bacon.

I just made this for my family today and it got four thumbs up! It’s a keeper for sure. What I liked especially is that there weren’t any strange or unusual ingredients that I had to go to four stores or find. I have all of them in my fridge or pantry most of the time.
