Spinach Artichoke Dip is my all time favorite dip! This Oven Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip Recipe is super creamy, perfectly cheesy and filled with amazing flavors of spinach and artichokes.
Spinach Artichoke Dip
This delicious warm party dip is perfect for any party you are having. If you’re hosting a party, this dip is an excellent party food and I always serve it! It is my go to dip recipe! This dip also makes a perfect appetizer to pack along for potlucks, gatherings, or tailgating parties. If you are looking for the best dip to bring with you to a get together, this is it!
This dip also makes a great snack, especially when you reheat it the day after you first make it. (If there are actually any leftovers ;). I also have to admit that sometimes I even enjoy it for lunch with whatever dippers I am wanting that day!
My Favorite Hot dip!
I do have to be 100% honest with you all here. Normally I am not a fan of spinach. I’ll enjoy it as a salad like in my strawberry spinach salad. I also like it when it is in a dish when the spinach is cold like my spinach and feta pasta salad or in a warm dish like my Chicken and Spinach roll ups or my spinach artichoke chicken. But to eat cooked spinach by itself, no thank you! I just can’t do it!
Now put that spinach in a dip with some artichokes and cheese yes please! Give me all the Spinach and artichoke dip and I will eat it all up!
My husband thinks I’m so strange because spinach and artichoke dip is my favorite dip. He always tells me that it makes no sense because I don’t like frozen spinach and here I am using frozen spinach.

What to Serve with Spinach Artichoke dip
Once you have baked this dip, it needs to be kept in a warm oven until you are ready to serve it. This oven baked spinach artichoke is best served warm and melty. You want that gooey cheese to be nice and melty!
The great thing about this warm dip is that there are many different things you can dip it in. Which makes it easy to change things up or keep it with your way of eating.
- crostini. (If you have never made crostini you can grab some in the bakery section of the grocery store or make your own easily. All you have to do is slice up a loaf of baguette into 1/2-inch slices. Then brush the rounds with olive oil, and bake in the oven at 400 degree oven just until the bread starts to get a nice golden brown.)
- tortilla chips.
- hearty crackers.
- french baguette.
Keep it Low Carb!
This dip is a low carb dip as it is. However the dippers that you use will help keep it low carb. Above I mentioned great things to dip in hot spinach and artichoke dip, but if you are wanting to keep it low carb try a few of these.
- carrots.
- green bell peppers.
- cucumbers.
- celery.
Can I use fresh spinach to make Spinach Artichoke Dip?
Personally I like to do things the easy way so I use frozen chopped spinach. If you are going to use fresh spinach when making this dip then you need to steam the fresh spinach. Once it is steamed, you will need to blanch it in ice water and then squeeze out the excess water. Once all the water is squeezed out you will then need to chop the spinach. You will need 1 pound of fresh spinach if you are going to use fresh spinach with this recipe.
Can I make Spinach Artichoke Dip Ahead of Time?
If you are going to be having a party, you can prepare all of the ingredients for this dip ahead of time and then put them in your baking dish. You can prepare this party dip up to 2 days before you are going to serve it. Be sure to cover it when you are storing it in the fridge.
If you plan to cook it with in 30 minutes or so from prepping it, you can leave it on the counter at room temperature. Then just stick it in the oven to bake when you are ready.
If you are going to be cooking it a few hours later or the next day, you will want to store it in the fridge until about 30 minutes before you are going to put it in the oven. Once you have brought it to room temperature sitting on the counter for 30 minutes, you will then want to bake it in the oven.
Can I reheat Spinach Artichoke Dip?
The great thing about this dip is that you can easily reheat it. That is of course if there is anything left over to reheat. All you have to do is scoop some dip into a microwave safe bowl and heat it in the microwave for 30-45 seconds (depending on how much you are heating) and then enjoy!
