One of our most made, most favorite desserts of all time that we have been making for as long as I can remember is fruit pizza. The combination of a soft sugar cookie, topped with creamy and sweet cream cheese frosting and then topped with fresh fruit is a combination that everyone will love. Plus it is super easy to make and customize with the fruit you love or have on hand.
Fruit pizza is seriously the perfect dessert to make any night of the week or when you are having a get together. Anytime I bring my fruit pizza to a get together it is the first thing that is gone from the dessert table.

Fruit pizza is an easy to make dessert that has a sugar cookie crust, topped with a sweet cream cheese frosting, and then topped with fresh fruit.
How do you keep Fruit pizza from getting soggy?
Fruit pizza will not get soggy if served right away. If I am planning on having it out for a while at something like a BBQ I will prep everything before hand and then assemble it all right before we are going to leave or our guests are going to be arriving.
Can I make fruit pizza ahead of time?
Yes you can. You will want to store the fruit pizza in the fridge if you are making it ahead of time so the frosting and the fruit don’t spoil. After assembling the fruit pizza cover with plastic wrap and then store in the fridge.
Should I refrigerate Fruit pizza?
Yes! If you are not serving it right away then you will want to tightly wrap the pizza with plastic wrap and store in the fridge.
How to store leftovers
Tightly wrap leftovers in plastic wrap or store in an airtight container. They will keep in the fridge for 2-3 days.
How long does Fruit pizza last?
Fruit pizza will keep in the fridge for 2-3 days however the crust will start to get soggy and the fruit will dry out so it is best to enjoy within 24 hours of assembling.
Variations of this Recipe
Store bought or homemade sugar cookie dough. When I make this recipe and I need it to be quick I use store bought cookie dough. If I have extra time I will use my no spread sugar cookie recipe.
Add Fruit Juice to the frosting. Sometimes I will add a 1/4 cup of the juice from the canned mandarin oranges or canned pineapple if I am using them as toppings.
Change up the fruit toppings. You can easily change up the fruit toppings that you use on this fruit pizza recipe.

Fruit Pizza Ingredients
- 16.5 ounce refrigerated Sugar Cookie Dough
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup sliced Kiwi
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 1/4 mandarin oranges
How to Make Fruit Pizza
Make the sugar cookie dough or use store bought sugar cookie dough and form into a circular shape on a pizza pan. Bake the sugar cookie crust according to the package direction or sugar cookie recipe you are using.
Remove the sugar cookie once baked from the oven and allow it to cool.
While the sugar cookie is cooling make your cream cheese frosting by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, heavy cream and vanilla extract in a bowl with a hand mixer.
Wash and slice the fruit into thin slices.
Spread the cream cheese frosting on the cooled sugar cookie.
In a pattern add the fruit.
Serve by cutting cookie with a pizza cutter.

This dessert is literally the best summer dessert you can make!!! Usually everytime I use a whole roll of sugar cookie dough, I have to keep it in the oven for about another 10 minutes.. I love mixing up the fruits.. I use blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, mangos, and I would love to try watermelon next time.. but seriously the BEST DESSERT EVER!! Especially if your a cookie and cream cheese lover like myself.. lol
