Variations And Substitutions
Ranch Seasoning mix. The easiest way is to use the packet of ranch seasoning, but if you are wanting to skip having additives in your food then use homemade ranch seasoning.
Au Jus Mix. This is the packet of Au Jus gravy mix you find in the grocery store. If you can not find it or do not have it on hand you can use a packet of Onion soup mix and 4 tablespoons of beef bullion. You can also use a packet of brown gravy mix in place of au jus packet mix.
Beef Broth. If you do not have beef broth, then you can use beef bullion to make beef broth.
Add veggies. You can add diced onions and diced bell peppers along with the pepperoncini peppers.
Butter. I use salted butter but you can also use unsalted butter.
How to Store Leftover Mississippi Meatballs Leftovers
Allow the meatballs to cool down to room temperature before refrigerating. Place the leftover meatballs in an airtight container or a bowl and wrap it tightly with aluminum foil or plastic wrap.
When you want to reheat the meatballs, place them on a microwave safe dish or in a microwave safe bowl and reheat them in the microwave.
