Add peanut butter cups. If you want to make a peanut butter cup chocolate frosting fudge chop up some peanut butter cups and put them on top of the fudge before placing the fudge in the fridge.
Tips for Making this Recipe
Use rubber or silicone utensils when mixing. I find that it is much easier to stir everything together when using a silicone or rubber spatula instead of a metal spoon.
Use a microwave-safe bowl. If you are heating the fudge ingredients in the microwave be sure that you are using a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave. You can use a metal bowl if you are using a double boiler to melt the chocolate.
Use a double boiler to melt the chocolate. While you can make this in the microwave I don’t always like to. Sometimes I skip using the microwave and use a double boiler instead. If. If you do not have a microwave use the double boiler method and make sure you check out how to melt chocolate in the double boiler if you are going that route.
Why is my fudge still soft?
If the fudge is still soft then it has not been in the fridge long enough. Just keep the fudge in the fridge for a few minutes of extra time until it firms up.
How to Store 2-Ingredient Chocolate Fudge
Allow the fudge to cool completely and then store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature. If your house is warm then you may want to store the fudge in the fridge. You can also leave the fudge in the pan and then cover it with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store it instead of putting it into a different container.
How long does the fudge stay fresh?
This fudge will keep for 3-4 days as long as it is stored properly.
