Candy Cane Danish
Christmas time is almost here and I am super excited for what we are making for breakfast this year. A candy cane danish! I normally make cinnamon rolls or cinnamon roll french toast casserole but this year I wanted to change things up.
My kids love it when I make candy cane pizza so I wanted to take their love for that and turn it into breakfast. Tada a cherry danish in the shape of a candy cane that is easy to make and tastes so delicious. I had the kids be my taste testers and they told me they can not wait for me to make this again as our Christmas morning breakfast!

Tips for Making this recipe
Use parchment paper or a silicone baking sheet when baking on a baking sheet to make removing the danish from the baking sheet easier.
Use a large baking sheet. You need to leave room on the baking sheet so the puff pastry can expand while it is baking.
Change up the Flavor. If you want to make a different flavor of the danish you totally can, I like cherry danish but you can also make blueberry danish, raspberry danish, or even apple danish by using different flavors jam or pie filling.
Can I use cream cheese instead of Greek Yogurt?
Yes. If you want to use cream cheese instead of greek yogurt bring the cream cheese to room temperature and then add 2 tablespoons of sugar to the cream cheese and mix well. You can also add a small amount of vanilla extract to give it a hint of vanilla flavor.
How to Serve Cherry Danish
Cut the danish into 8-10 pieces. You can serve with powdered sugar sprinkled on top or make a simple icing to drizzle on top.
How to Store Cherry Danish
To store any leftovers it is best to use an air tight container in the fridge. If you are making this ahead of time and want to keep its shape for when you serve it, place it on a serving platter and cover it tightly with plastic wrap and then store it in the fridge.
