We skip buying the store bought pedialyte and we make our own homemade pedialyte because the kids like it so much better. What they like even more than homemade pedialyte is homemade Pedialyte Pops and thankfully they are super easy to make!
This pedialyte recipe is doctor approved, in fact my doctor is the one who gave this homemade pedialtye recipe to me for my kids. I was going to buy them pedialyte and they told me how simple it is to make at home and how much cheaper it is as well.
Note: it is not recommended for children under 1 year of age. Of course with all things that deal with sickness, be sure to ask your doctor first before giving it to your child.
Why Make Homemade Pedialyte Pops

How to use homemade Pedialyte Pops
Use homemade Pedialyte Freezer popsicles the same way that you do the store bought ones and.
Make sure when the person who needs the rehydration is slowly eating the pedialyte popsicle. It is important not to give it to anyone until they haven’t throw up in two hour.
When you are serving homemade Pedialyte homemade Popsicles just remove them from the freezer pop container and give them to the person to eat.
You can use any ice pop mold when making these pops. If you are using normal sized popsicle makers like theses silicone squeeze pop makers, it will make 6 pedialyte freezer popsicles. If you are using a mini sized ice pop maker like the KOJI Ring Pops Silicone Molds it will make 12 Pedialyte Freezer Pops.
Raspberry Pedialyte Pops Ingredients
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1 3/4 cups cold water
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1.5 tablespoons sugar
- 1.5 teaspoons Raspberry Jell-O Powder
How to Make Raspberry Homemade Pedialyte Pops
In a large pitcher mix the salt, sugar and Jell-O powder.
Add in hot water and stir until all of the sugar, salt and Jell-O powder dissolves.
Once it is dissolved pour in the cold water and mix.
Pour the homemade pedialyte mixture into the ice pop molds.
Put the filled ice pop molds into the freezer for 6-8 hours until they are completely frozen.
