Awesome Veggie Noodles using Zucchini!
My kids would eat noodles and pasta every single night for dinner if I let them. As much as we love pasta I know that eating pasta all the time is not a healthy choice. In moderation pasta is fine but having it too much is not healthy. My solution, Zucchini Noodles, also known as Zoodles.
I have been making zucchini noodles for years. I first shared how to make zucchini noodles a few years ago, but got the chance to take some better (and amazing photos) and I am updating this post.

You do not need to buy a super fancy spiralizer. This is the Zoodle spiralizer I use in my kitchen, it works perfect for my needs. It creates a fun shape that reminds the kids of noodles and the eat them up! They have fancy ones like this one that would be good if you going to be using it a lot.
How do you serve Zoodles?
You serve zoodles just like you would flour pasta. With your favorite sauce or just some butter.
My favorite way to enjoy Zoodles is some butter, cheese, and a few red pepper flakes, however any thing you put on normal flour pasta will work on your Zoodles!
When we have zoodles for dinner I like to serve them with a salad as well. If you are wanting to keep things low carb, also try making some Chaffle Garlic Bread.

Zucchini Noodles Ingredients
When making Zoodles I use one medium zucchini per person who will be eating. I also recommend using medium size zucchini because the larger ones have more seeds and do not spiralize well.
- 2 medium zucchini
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
How to Make Zucchini Noodles
Cut the ends off of your zucchinis. Using your spiralizer her turn your zucchini and create your noodles with both zucchinis.
When you are spiraling the zucchini I recommend breaking them off every now and then. This way you don’t end up with really long noodles.
How to Cook Zucchini Noodles
Preheat your oven to 500°.
Toss your noodles with your olive oil and garlic. Spread your zoodles onto a sheet pan in an even layer.
Bake until the zucchini has softened, about 10 to 15 minutes. Halfway through stir the noodles.
