The Grinch Oreo Pops
We all know a cookie is much more fun to eat when it is on a stick as a cookie, so we knew that the best thing to do was turn these Grinch Cookies into Grinch Cookie Pops! These Grinch Oreo Pops are one of our favorite Christmas Oreo treats.
We all know the story of The Grinch. The poor old Mr. Grinch, his heart was just way to small for his body. He just could not help being the grumpy monster that he was. If only he had someone to come and make his heart grow with a sweet treat.
These Grinch Oreo Pops are sure to warm up any of the grinch hearts you know to help them grow. Now since the grinch is all green I choose to use a mint Oreos so even the inside of these pops would be green. If you do not have mint Oreos then you can use any other flavor you would like to.

Tips for Making this recipe
Use parchment paper. When you are working with chocolate you want to use parchment piping bags, it make decorating with chocolate so much easier! You can grab the parchment paper piping bags in the grocery store or on Amazon.
The best way I have found to melt chocolate is by using a double boiler. I find that it melts chocolate more evenly then melting chocolate in a bowl in the microwave. If you have never used a double boiler then make sure you check out how to melt the chocolate. You will probably never melt chocolate in the microwave again once you use a double boiler, it is so much easier!
If you have never worked with melted chocolate, don’t stress it is really easy to do. You can melt the chocolate in the microwave or use a double boiler. I personally use the double boiler method as I find it to be easier, head on over and read up on how to melt chocolate with a double boiler, if this is your first time melting chocolate with a double boiler.
Dipping Oreos in the melted chocolate. You can use a fork, a spoon, or your fingers but I find that to be messy. I suggest grabbing this Dipping Tool 3-Piece Set that will make it MUCH easier to dip the Oreos in chocolate.
If you are planning on just making Chocolate Covered Oreos you can skip the step for putting in the lollipop stick.
When you are taking apart the Oreo cookies, you want to be careful. Oreo cookies break easily, so do not rush when you are taking them apart.
Variations of this Recipe
Change up the candy melts color. You can use dark green or bright green colored candy melts.
Use different flavored Oreo Cookies. I like using mint Oreo cookies, but you can use double stuffed Oreos, vanilla Oreo cookies, S’Mores Oreos, Chocolate Peanut Butter Oreos, or any other flavor Oreo cookie that you want to.
Skip the Pop stick. If you are planning on just making Chocolate Covered Oreos you can skip the step for putting in the lollipop stick.
How to Store Chocolate Covered Oreos
Chocolate covered Oreo cookies will stay fresh when they are stored in an airtight container at room temperature. When you are storing them in an airtight container you will want to layer the cookies on a single layer.
Then place a piece of parchment paper and layer more. Continue doing this until you have filled up the container.
Using parchment paper between the chocolate dipped cookies will keep them from sticking together. It will also make it easier to remove the cookies from the container.
