How do you season salmon?
There are lots of ways to season salmon, however this easy salmon rub is my favorite! All you need is paprika, salt, black pepper, onion powder, chili powder and cumin to make these easy salmon dry rub seasoning.
How to Grill Salmon
You can grill your salmon on your outside grill or on an inside one. I prefer the outside grill, I find grilling salmon is so much better with a “real grill”.
When you are grilling fish, not just salmon but all fish, you can do it right on the grill or you can put tinfoil on top of the grill. If you are using tinfoil then make sure you spray it with non stick spray. I suggest spraying with nonstick spray either way you cook it to keep the salmon from sticking to the grill.
When you are cooking salmon it is much easier to move the salmon off the grill when it is done cooking if you cut the large piece of salmon before cooking it.
Preheating the grill is important for both an indoor grill or and out door grill. This will make sure that the fish cooks properly giving you the charred outside while keeping the inside tender.
When placing the fish on the grill be sure to place it skin side down.
How long to cook Salmon on the grill
Cooking salmon on the grill doesn’t take long at all! Depending on the thickness of your salmon, it will only take 12-20 minutes at 400 degrees to cook salmon on the grill.
