This planning calendar has easy and fun ideas listed on each day of the month of December that the elf comes to visit, taking the guesswork out of it for you.
The printable Elf on the Shelf Ideas calendar printable includes 2 calendars filled with 24 days of Elf on the Shelf Ideas along with a blank calendar that you can use to fill in with your own ideas.
I made the original a few years ago (ok, so it was a lot longer then a few years, I made the origional back in 2015), and this year I have now added a second free printable elf on the shelf calendar that you can use.

Day 9: Elf decorates the Christmas tree with toilet paper.
Day 10: Elf is captured by toys.
Day 11: Elf plays a board game with toys.
Day 12: Elf watches TV.
Day 13: Make breakfast with Christmas themed cereal for breakfast and sits in the bowl.
Day 14: Elf pees in the toilet. Green elf pee in the toilet and the elf hiding in the bathroom.
Day 15: Elf makes a sugar or Flour snow Angel.
Day 16: Elf leaves a Message in the bathroom on the mirror.
Day 17: Elf draws funny faces on family photos with dry erase markers.
Day 18: Elf does a chore (in the elf way) to help the kids out.
Day 19: Hiding in a pile of toys.
Day 20: Coloring a coloring book.
Day 21: Pack a wrapped lunch for the kids. I also like to put some special treats in when I do this one.

Day 23: Elf brings a small gift saying Merry Christmas.
Day 24: Elf goodbye as they go home to Santa in the North Pole. Have the elf leave an Elf goodbye letter.

What Is Elf on the Shelf?
The Elf on the Shelf is a popular Christmas tradition that originated from a children’s book of the same name, written by Carol Aebersold and Chanda Bell. The story revolves around a scout elf who is sent by Santa Claus to watch over children during the holiday season and report back to the North Pole each night. The elf then returns to a different spot in the house, allowing the children to find it in a new location every morning.
When does Elf on the Shelf come?
Our Elf first comes on December 1st and leaves on Christmas Eve to go back to the North Pole. In some houses, the elf arrives the day after Thanksgiving. You can pick when you want your elf to arrive.
When Does the Elf go Back to the North Pole?
On Christmas Eve the Elf tags along for the ride in Santa’s sleigh with Santa to head back to the North Pole.
