As you all know I don’t let a holiday go by without making fun kid friendly treats for the kids, even if we don’t have a special party to go to. I made these a few years ago for the first time and the kids love them! We have brought these cookies to quite a few Halloween parties and they were loved there too.
I also love the Twinkie Mummies, but sometimes the kiddos do not need that much sugar so these Mummy Nutter Butter cookies have the same idea but they are smaller and have less sugar. Plus if you are having a party with a lot of kids, these might be a better option than making a ton of twinkies!

How to Dip Cookies in Melted Chocolate
You can use a fork, a spoon or your fingers but I find that to be messy. I suggest grabbing this Dipping Tool 3-Piece Set that will make it MUCH easier to dip the cookies into the chocolate.
Dip the cookie into the chocolate while on the dipper making sure you cover all of the cookie. Then tap the dipper gently against the bowl you have melted the chocolate in to get off any excess chocolate and then lay flat on a piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
I find it best to use a bowl or a short glass when melting the chocolate to make it easier to dip the cookies in the chocolate.
How to Store Chocolate covered Cookies
The Chocolate covered nutter Butter Cookies should be refrigerated or kept in a cool dark place. Store in an air tight container as chocolate can pick up odors.
When you are storing them in an airtight container you will want to layer the cookies on a single layer. Then place a piece of parchment paper and layer more. Continue doing this until you have filled up the container.
Using parchment paper between the chocolate dipped cookies will keep them from sticking together. It will also make it easier to remove the cookies from the container.
