Tips for Making this Caramel Frappuccino
Use quality coffee. I like to make it with Starbucks brand coffee but you don’t have to, you can use any brand of coffee to make this Frappuccino Starbucks Copycat Drink.
Use quality caramel sauce. I will suggest getting this caramel sauce, it is my absolute favorite aside from homemade caramel sauce, and it comes in a squeeze bottle already making it super easy to use!
Allow ice to freeze fully. It is important that your ice cubes are fully frozen otherwise you will end up with a liquidy drink.
If you are wanting to have the full Frappuccino experience at home grab yourself a Frappuccino cup.
Make it Weight Watchers Friendly
To Make this one Weight Watchers friendly use skim milk and Torani Sugar-Free Classic Caramel syrup and it is just 5 Weight Watchers SmartPoints on the FreeStyle Plan! If you want it sweeter then use a low point sweetener.
Make it Low carb
To Make this Keto Friendly you can use heavy cream instead of milk and if you do not want it as thick – use 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup heavy cream and combine the two when mixing, and Torani Sugar-Free Classic Caramel syrup. If you want it sweeter, then use a keto approved sweetener.
Variations of this recipe
Make it decaf. If you can not have caffeine you can use decaf coffee when making this homemade Frappuccino.
Change up the flavor. I used salt and caramel to flavor it, but if you want to make it a different flavor you easily can.
- Mocha Frappuccino. Use 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup. Top with whipped cream and mini chocolate chips.
- Carmel Frappuccino. Skip the salt and use 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup. Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel.
- Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino. Use 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup and 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract. Top with whipped cream and mini chocolate chips.
Change up the milk. I used whole cows milk but you can also use 1% milk, 2% milk, skim milk, and almond milk.
Make it sweeter. I find that it is plenty sweet when adding caramel or chocolate syrup, if you want to sweeten it up more you can add a small amount of sugar before blending it all together.

How to Make Salted Caramel Frappuccino
To make this caramel frappuccino you are going to get started the night before.
Brew your coffee, I like to make a full pot of Starbucks brand coffee because then it is even better, but you really can use any brand of coffee.

After you brew your coffee pour it into a plastic pitcher. Then add the caramel and salt and stir.
Put your pitcher of coffee in the fridge so it cools overnight. Then pour the milk into ice cube trays and put in the freezer to freeze over night.
When you are ready to make your Salted Caramel Frappuccino Starbucks Drink, get out your blender and add all of the ingredients into it. and blend until smooth but still a little ice chunky like at Starbucks.
Pour everything in to a glass, or if you are like me and love the coffee tumblers they work well too.
Then top with whip cream and drizzle extra caramel on the top.
Add your straw, because we all know that a Starbucks Frappuccino must be enjoyed with a straw! Then sit back and enjoy!

How do you make this without Carmel sauce?
MidgetMomma says
You can make your own caramel sauce if you don’t have any 🙂 http://www.midgetmomma.com/caramel-sauce/

The ingredient list says 1 cup of coffee, but the directions say to make 1 pot… do you just use a cup from that pot you made?
Stephanie says
Yes, you only need one cup when I make these I am normally making a few so I need more cold coffee and I drink my coffee that day from that same pot. Sorry about that wording.

A Salted Caramel Frappuccino from Starbucks has Toffee Nut Syrup in it. It would not taste the same without it.
Stephanie says
You can add it to your batch its just a very hard syrup to find so its a good fix when you cant get to starbucks.
