3 Ingredient Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes
I love making treats for my kids and I really like when they are quick and easy treats like these easy cinnamon sugar donuts.
I normally focus on keeping things fresh made and made from scratch when we are making meals and desserts there are times when I want things quick and easy. I love making homemade muffins, homemade bread and homemade cookies but there is this limit on time that I have had recently that means I need things easier and quicker.
One of my tricks in the kitchen for making things easy and quick is to use premade ingredients, like refrigerated biscuits, premade pizza dough or a boxed cake mix. It cuts the time needed to make things by a lot and we still end up with amazing tasty treats that everyone loves.

If you love fresh donuts but don’t have the time to make them these easy 3 ingredient donuts totally hit the spot and do the trick for when you want a sweet treat.
When we make them I tend to let the kids do the cutting out of the dough, then I fry them and then they get to toss them in the cinnamon and sugar mixture. It is such a great recipe to make with the kids and have fun in the kitchen with.
Tips for Making this recipe
Don’t stress their shape. When you are cutting them into pieces the shape does not make much of a difference. I like to use a little circle cookie cutter because then they look like the donuts from a donut shop but if you don’t have one that is ok.
Let the donuts drain a little on a plate lined with paper towels. After you remove them from the oil, it is best to put them on a paper towel lined plate this will absorb any extra oil on them.
Use a metal utensil to remove them from the oil. I find it easiest to use a metal slatted spatula (like this one) when removing the donuts from the pan.
