Buying used books is a great way to save money. Most people only read them once and then they do not read them again so most of the time they are hardly used when you find them secondhand. Then after you are done with them you can also sell them for cheap to help others save money and then use that money to buy new books!
Save Money Buying Books
Where to find Used Books:
Yardsales:
I love shopping at yardsales for books. I normally find books for 25¢-50¢ each! It is a great way to stock the kids up on books!
Online Facebook groups
Search facebook for local resale groups. Many times people post books they are selling instead of doing a yardsale.
Online Consignment and Thrift Stores:
I love shopping on Swap.com and ebay to find used kids books.
Library Sales:
Keep an eye out for your local library to have a book sale. When they are changing out books they often sell the old ones! One time our library had a “Fill a bag of books for $5 sale” and the kids were able to get some really awesome books to read.
You might not have known that you can buy used books on Amazon, but if you are searching for a book title, then click on the “used books from other sellers”. You will find books sometimes that are crazy cheap! And if they are from Amazon sellers you will still get the same shopping protection you do buying new but you will save a LOT of money!
