Avocado BLT Lettuce Wraps
Every week my grocery list has avocados; they are eaten in our house like some people eat candy. In my homemade guacamole, on top of salads, on our BLTs or just by themselves. If you are fans of avocados like we are then you are probably happy to know that Avocados From Mexico are the only avocados available via produce 365 days of the year, so you never have to go with out them!

Recently though my kids have been asking for more, so I have been testing out new ideas and taking their thoughts into consideration and when the opportunity to partner with Avocados of Mexico came about, it was a sure thing for me to say yes to. The kids have been loving avocado on their BLTs so I thought I would change it up a bit for them (and myself) and make BLT Avocado Lettuce Wraps.
What is great about these BLT Avocado Lettuce Wraps is that you can make them up as wraps or you can put the filling in a bowl and then have a dish for the lettuce so people can make their own if you are having a party. This recipe is very easy to make double and triple of!

BLT Avocado Lettuce Wraps Ingredients
- cooked Bacon
- Avocado
- tomato
- lettuce
- Mayo (optional)
BLT Avocado Lettuce Wraps Directions
Cook your bacon until desired doneness, but you do want to be able to crumble it. Once cool enough to crumble crumble it all.
Dice tomato and cut up avocado into diced pieces.
In a bowl mix your avocados, half of the bacon and tomatoes and mix well. Add in a small amount of mayo if you like mayo with your BLTs. I add about a 1/2 tablespoon to mine.
Pull apart your lettuce so you have individual leaves.
If you are going to be serving them as wraps take each leaf and fill it with the BLT mixture and then sprinkle the left over bacon on the top.
If you are going to serve it party style, get a large dish and place a smaller bowl in the middle. Pour the mixture into the bowl and then top with the remaining bacon. Place lettuce leaves around the bowl in the dish.
