Parmesan Garlic Sweet Potato Fries
My whole family loves fries, however potato fries are not the healthiest option so I have been making sweet potato fries. Not only do they have more vitamins and nutrients but I think they taste 100 times better than potato fries!
This easy fry recipe is perfect for anytime you are wanting fries. If you have never had sweet potato fries you are in for a treat! They are much more flavor filled then potato fries!

What goes well with Sweet Potato fries?
There are so many things that go well with homemade parmesan garlic sweet potato fries. Actually it is really hard for me to think of something that doesn’t go well with them.
The traditional burger or a Lettuce Wrap Burger and fries dinner would be perfect to make.
If your kids are fans of chicken strips, Ranch Chicken Strips and fries is an easy kid friendly dinner.
Grilled steak, with some chickpea pasta salad and these fries is a perfect summer time meal! Cajun Chicken wings or Garlic Parmesan chicken wings, with crispy fries and a veggie is also a great meal idea!
But like I said before, there is not much that does not go well with these fries!
How to Cut Sweet Potato
If you are looking for an easy way to cut your homemade sweet potato fries, you can use a fry cutter like this one that you can buy on Amazon.
If you do not have a fry cutter you can just use a sharp knife. All you have to do if you are using a knife then you will want to cut the sweet potato in half length wise. Then from there cut that half into thin slices, and cut the slices into fry pieces. As always, be careful when you are using a knife.
Tips for making crispy sweet potato fries
Evenly sliced sweet potato fries. You also want to make sure that you are slicing the sweet potato fries are evenly sliced. I have found that the best sizing for getting the perfect crispy sweet potato fries is having them about 1/4 inch thick.
Single layer on the baking sheet. Overcrowding the fries will stop them from getting crispy when they are baking as they let off steam when baking.
Use Parchment paper. Instead of using nonstick baking spray you want to line the baking sheets with parchment paper. This keeps the fries from sticking.

- sweet potatoes
- olive oil
- Kosher salt
- Pepper
- garlic cloves, minced
- grated Parmesan cheese
Parmesan Garlic Sweet Potato Fries Directions
Preheat the oven while prepping your Parmesan Garlic Sweet Potato Fries.
Line the baking sheets with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
Cut potatoes into 1/4 inch sticks and put them in a bowl.
Add the olive oil, salt and pepper to the bowl and mix the sweet potato fries well.
Lay the Parmesan Garlic Sweet Potato Fries out on a single layer on the sheet pan.
Bake for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
Remove the fries from the oven and sprinkle the fries with the garlic and place back in the oven for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until the fries are crispy.
Once the fries are cooked and crispy remove them from the oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
