Frozen Themed Chocolate Covered Pretzels
It still blows my mind how much Disney’s Frozen has taken off and really become a franchise of its own. My niece is obsessed with both Frozen and Frozen 2. She knows all the words to every song and can recite half the movie by heart!
With a Frozen obsession comes Frozen themed birthday parties and I wanted to be prepared with some special treats.
These Frozen chocolate covered pretzels are perfect for young fans to use as “Frozen wands” and imagine themselves building their own ice castle, before eating.
The only ingredients you need for these Frozen pretzels are pretzel wands, blue melting chocolate, nonpareils, and snowflake sprinkles. You’ll need only a few minutes to assemble them but they do need to chill for half an hour before eating.
If you’ve never melted chocolate before, check out these tips.
Even if you don’t have a Frozen party planned, these are a fun treat to enjoy while watching the movie and also double as a festive winter treat.

How to Melt chocolate for dipping
There are two different ways to melt the chocolate. I suggest using the microwave way if you have kids making them. It is also important that you Don’t make the chocolate to hot. You want it to be hot enough that it is fully melted, but not so hot that it will melt the peeps.
Double Boiler Method. When you are melting chocolate for dipping the best way to do so is with a double boiler. You can buy a double boiler in the store but they are so easy to make at home with items you already have in your kitchen. If you have never used a double boiler read how to make a double boiler at home.
Melt chocolate in the microwave. You want to use a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds at a time. In between each 30 seconds stir the chocolate and continue the pattern until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
How to Store Chocolate Covered Pretzels
You can store these Frozen chocolate covered pretzels at room temperature for 2 to 3 weeks. Once the chocolate has set, there is no need to keep them in the fridge. However, I do recommend keeping them out of direct sunlight and in a cool area if possible. Be sure to keep them in an airtight container so they don’t go stale.
Can I Freeze Chocolate Covered Pretzels?
You can freeze chocolate covered pretzels but you need to take care to do so in a container where there is no condensation. The best way I’ve found is to put them in a ziploc bag, squeeze all the air, and then place them in another airtight container. If any moisture gets in, you will end up with soggy pretzels when they thaw.
